Weekend stuff.

Mike had is company picnic on Friday. Erica did some hula hooping. Saw Gary Maddox on Saturday.  Erica enjoys the player signing's even though she doesn't really know most of them.

Braces are on.

Erica got her braces and her turtle in, all at the same time. It was painful for the first several days, but she is doing much better.

Happy 4th of July.

New Bike

Erica got a new bike for her great report card, she got it about 2 weekends ago. I forgot to post the pictures earlier. Of course Mike had to try it out too.

Happy Father's Day

Mud Run Jr.

Thank you to everyone who donated to Erica's mud run.  She had a blast and will be doing it next year for sure. She said there were alot of obstacles along the 1.5 mile course. We could not see them for most of the race so we waited where it was very muddy towards the end of course to get the best pictures.

Erica has decided to do the Mud Run this year. It's a 1.5 mile obstacle course and yes it has mud :)

Promotion to 7th Grade and Awards

Erica has officially been promoted to 7th grade.  I went to her graduation today.  I was so ready to cry. She was give 2 awards, a certificate for chorus and her promotion certificate. She is very proud of the Presidential Academic Award. This was given for having an average grade of 90% and above throughout 5th and 6th grade. She also made the honor roll all 4 marking periods. We are so proud of her.

 

You have to take the good with the bad.

A little while ago I wrote that Erica was asked to be evaluated for the Honor's Program next yet.  Well we go the letter the other day that she was not selected but that it no way reflected her as a student.  They just thought she would do better in the regular classes.  She was a little upset, but we talked to her and explained she is still a good student and we are proud of her, she has made the honor roll ever since she has been in school.  So we told her you have to take the good with the bad sometimes, it's all about growing up.  We are ever so proud of her for even being asked to participate, there's always next year.

Thank you to all the service men and woman, both past and present. You keep us safe and I for one am happy for your dedication and service.  Thanks to all my family and friends serving right now or who have served.

6th Grade Field Day

Erica had her Field Day today. It was a nice day.

Field Trip

I have the pleasure of going with Erica and her class to the Penn Musuem. We learned all about Egypt.  Saw some awesome stuff. Mummies, The Sphinx and much much more. I would love to go back.

Happy Mother's Day

Goal !!!!!!

Erica scored her first goal today in soccer. We all were so excited for her. She did awesome.

Congratulations!!!!

Erica got another great report card. A's in Reading, Science, Social Studies, and a B in Math, she was one point away from another A in math, so close, but we are proud of her.  She is doing so good in school.  Soon she will be heading to Middle School.  Her teacher's put in the comment section and I quote "Erica continues to be a pleasant student.  She is dedicated to doing her best and she should be very proud of her report card. She is a model student and is looked up to by others in her class. We are very proud of her."

April Fools Day.

The time sure has flown by, I can't believe it's the 1st of April already.
I am ready for it to be warm.  Erica had her first soccer games yesterday.  Her team did good, this was their first games they had, everyone else has had about 2 games under their belts.  They lost the first game and tied the second.

I didn't get to take any pictures due to the rainy weather, but they have several more games to play, so I will update with pictures later.

So happy for Erica, we received a letter the other day from school, asking us if we wanted Erica to be evaulated for the Honor's Program next year for 7th grade.  She was picked for all 4 Subjects. Reading, Math, Social Studies and Science.

Of course we will let her go for it.  That is a big deal and a great honor if she makes it.  Keep your fingers crossed.
