9/11 Memorial and Fire Prevention Convention and Parade

Erica went to the Fire house for the 9/11 memorial and was also part of the Winning the Governor's Cup for Citizens Hose Fire Company. This is the 34th year in a row they have won this Cup. It is a very big deal here in Smyrna.

FFA/Fire Prevention Queen Parade

Erica and her friend Ashlyn competed at the FFA Science Fair in the category of Plant Eco System. They Placed First in that Division. They will be headed to Kentucky in October to compete in the National Science Fair. Good Luck Girls.

Erica also interviewed at the local Fire house to be one of their Fire Prevention Queens. She was selected as the Junior Fire Prevention Queen for the Citizens Hose Fire Company. Her first duty was to ride in the Smyrna Clayton 4th of July Parade. She had a great time and she said she never waved so much in her life. She will be attending many more parades and will have to go in September to the big Fire Prevention Convention where she will be judged for a possible trophy. Wish her luck in all her activities so far.

The Fire Company also had a band from Dublin, Ireland that performed. They were really great.

Mud Run

For the 2nd year in a row Erica did the De Jr. Mud Run again. It was extra muddy this year due to all the rain we had in the couple of days before the race. She raised $200.00 for cancer.

 

Happy Father's Day.

Had lunch with Mike, Pop, Shawn and Patrick for Father's Day. We made the trip to Lancaster. We ate at Miller's. It was really good. Had a nice drive and a good day.

 

Happy Mother's Day

Hope all the wonder Mother's, Grandmother's in my family and my friends have a great Mother's Day. I know I have already. Nice day for bubbles, jumping and cooking on the grill.

 

Erica's 7th Grade Spring Formal

Yesterday was Erica's formal. We got her hair done. She did her own nails. The dance was at the middle school. When she got home she said she had fun dancing. They also served them dinner. It was just like a Prom and she looked so pretty in her dress. Brought tears to Mike's eyes.

 

Honor Roll. FFA Award and Banquet.

Erica received High Honors again and made the Honor Roll for the 3rd marking period.

Erica also had her FFA awards and banquet. She received two awards.  She had a good time and she looked really pretty.

Washington DC Class Field Trip.

I had the pleasure of being a chaperone for Erica's 7th Grade class trip today. We got to go to Washington DC.  We have great weather. Hope you enjoy the pictures. This post is kinda picture heavy.

The Washington Monument was under repairs. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom. Saw the Hope Diamond. No they did not let me leave with it.
